Helped Round Out That Flat Spot
ByLindsay Con June 22, 2015
Our pediatrician took the company line and would recommend using the pillow simply, because of the suffocation risk factor that goes a long with babies and pillows. However, if you are playing on a play mat with your baby for hours a day and are worried about him getting a flat spot (or maybe already has one and you're trying to avoid getting a helmet! - like us) then you don't want your babe on the back of his head the whole time. The catch of course, is your baby needs to play and learn to roll, etc... So, this is a great option - we love our Babymoon Pillow! I think it's worked great. Sometimes he's stays in it, sometimes he squirms his way out of it, but I think it's helped his head shape tremendously. After we had begun using it, I told our pediatrician and she didn't scold us or anything, and in fact thought his head shape had improved. We only used it at night in the earlier stages, when he wasn't turning or rolling in his sleep. We still use it during the day if he's put on his back to play. Now he easily rolls out of it when he feels like it, which is fine.

Color: Baby Blue|Verified Purchase
For 28 bucks, this is the best product made for preventing flat head syndrome. My ped told my wife and I that he thought our first born would need to wear a helmet, or possibly have surgery to correct his flat head. I looked all around searching for items that could help prevent this, while we waited on appointments and such to correct this before it was too late. Luckily I stumbled upon a blog that recommended this product, after looking at so many others and reading the bad reviews on them. I purchased it and I am so glad that I did. Within weeks, my wife noticed that my babies head was rounding out much faster than prior to use.... and no, it wasn't just because it would have happened naturally, this product really did help correct some of the issue. We use it everywhere... and that includes while he sleeps. In no way can it get over his face or strangle him, due to swaddle devices that also help him sleep. He also loves it just as a pillow. The first night we put him on it, he straight up passed out, because it is comfortable and well made. I'm glad that I purchased this and I hope you do too if you have the same issue, or even just want a nice pillow for your baby. I was also looking at the Mimos, but they are practically the same device, this is just much cheaper.
