Meet Brinda Rathod, a Pediatric Physical Therapist in Morristown, NJ. Here are few questions we asked Brinda about how to treat her young patience and why she recommend Babymoon Pod to treat plagiocephaly and torticollis.

Q: How long have you been a physical therapy for babies?
A: I have been a pediatric physical therapist for 12 years. I opened a private practice called HomeBase Physical Therapy with my partner Michael DiLella,MSPT in Morristown, New Jersey last October.  In this facility, the bulk of my patients are infants/babies with torticollis and/or brachycephaly or plagiocephaly.

Q: How common is this for babies to develop flat head syndrome?
A: The prevalence of plagiocephaly and brachycephaly has increased due to the "Back To Sleep" Campaign which was created to prevent the incidents of SIDS. With the increased time babies spend on their backs, brachycephaly has increased. That is why tummy time is so important and to keep babies off of their heads. The Babymoon Pod is another tool in helping to prevent and/or assist in resolving it.

Q: At what point do you think your client is in need of Babymoon Pod?
A: I recommend it to my smaller babies with torticollis, brachycephaly, and/or plagiocephaly. Once they begin rolling or moving, it loses it benefits of keeping them off their head when they are on their back, because they are not staying still and laying on it with proper positioning.

Q: How do you explain or introduce Babymoon pod to your clients?
A: I recommend the Babymoon Pod to all of my new patients that come in with torticollis, plagiocephaly, and/or brachycephaly. I like how it keeps the baby off his/her head by allowing the head to be placed with padding around it, while most of it gets to shape by not directly putting pressure on it. This will help when they have to be on their backs, but essentially keep them off their head. I do not recommend this for sleep.

Q: How did you hear about Babymoon Pod?
A: I had done some research of different products and pricing to recommend to parents of my infants that I treat. This product was the best that I found as far as success, adjustability, and cost.

Q: What are some of your customers feedback after using Babymoon Pod?
A: I have recommended this product to all of my patients that fit the criteria listed above on their evaluation. At least 95% of them purchase them after I recommended the product and told me they had received it before their next visit. By selling them at our facility, this will enable them to purchase and obtain the Babymoon Pod immediately. It also allows me to see that they followed through and use it to help assist in treating their son or daughter's condition. I have not had any negative feedback about this product thus far.

Q: What kind of improvement have you seen in your clients after using the Babymoon Pod?
A: In conjunction with physical therapy, recommendations to keep babies off of their heads through variety of positioning techniques, and using the Babymoon Pod, there has been noted improvement in babies head shape which can help in preventing the need of a helmet.
