AMAZING!!! Being a 1st time mommy, no one I mean no one told me about flat spots in newborns heads not even before I was discharged from the hospital (which was annoying because they stress about other things before you leave)but I had no idea. It wasn't until my hunney noticed a flattening on one side and at first I was like no there's no spot and then the pediatrician mentioned it kind of casually at the 2 month appt. I was told to "simply" start making sure to switch sleeping sides or of course sleeping on the back um yeah no not so simple "simply" because how was that going to fix the 1 flat spot without creating another 1. There was no mention of "simply" buying a flat head prevention pillow would be a good start aid. Give me something...sheesh. So like many moms I'm sure, I had to research products. I purchased a lamb protective pillow ( also from Amazon) thinking ok this is the "fix" 1 and done. Nope!. There wasn't as nearly as much progress as I would have liked so back to the drawing board. I found this after watching a video on flat head from youtube. At first glance, pod just looks like a baby neck pillow but I tell you I would buy this updated lol baby neck pillow pod again and again. So after consistent use for approx. 5 weeks I can honestly say I am pleased!!!. I have definitely noticed a change and can't ask for anything more. I'm sure with continual usage more progress will be seen.
Another thing I have done: more tummy time(referenced also by other moms. If you haven't started, give it a try and initially if baby is like nope don't like just be persistent as possible trying at whatever increments baby will allow and increasing by minutes at a time-my LO didn't like initially) and again definitely whenever laying down on back or side I placed laying on protective pillow or babymoon pod. This is working for me but whatever works for you, yay! and pass along the mommy knowledge! and happy mommy/daddy/guardian success to you!
