I must say I was skeptical about this pillow working to help fix the flat spot my 3.5 month old was developing. Her head was significantly flatter on the one side and it was also flat in the back. She had mainly brachycephaly and a lil plagiocephay on her right side. I had been sooo upset. I didn't want her to have to wear a helmet! SO in desperation I bought the pillow and in literally days I noticed an improvement. I have been using it in her crib to sleep. I know it states not to and I wouldn't use it for any baby younger than 2.5 months old in the crib. But she loves it. She sleeps great. Sometimes she wiggles off it and we have to go put her back on but, it is helping drastically. I don't swaddle her anymore so I feel comfortable putting her on the pillow because she has her arms free to push it away if it ever did get in her way. I am also putting her on her belly for naps and I monitor her closely. Hey our parents all put us on our bellies and here we are. Next baby is using this pillow and is going to nap on belly from the start. This head stuff makes me think that sleeping on their backs is unnatural. My daughter is never on her back besides sleeping and she developed a flat head. I have been beating myself up over it for so long because I felt like I did something wrong. I am so thankful to the creators of this product! If you are looking for something to help or even prevent flat head, get this pillow. $30 is nothing compared to the thousands you will spend on a helmet and the heart ache you will feel for having to put your baby in one.
